Who can I bring to my ultrasound appointment?
We are happy to announce that our restrictions have subdued! With the expecting momma she can bring up to 6 guests with her! We also welcome big sisters and brothers!! We are so happy to be able to provide this service as we understand how special this moment is for mom and the family.
What is the difference between 3D and 4D and HD live ultrasound?
The only difference between 3D and 4D is simply movement. A 3D ultrasound is a still image. A 4D Ultrasound is when the baby is moving around in real time. In 4D you may see your baby smile, yawn, suck on their fingers or toes, and even open their eyes! HD is exciting new technology that lets you see your baby in realistic view or what many call the flesh tone look. Take a look at out photo gallery to see the difference!
Is getting an elective ultrasound safe for my baby?
Ultrasound technology for imaging has been practiced extensively for over 40 years. Research has shown no known harmful bio-effects to the mommy or baby. An elective ultrasound scan performed by a trained technologist is every bit as safe as any ultrasound scan ordered by your doctor.
Is there anything I need to bring with me to my 3D/4D/HD ultrasound appointment?
It's helpful to have a snack/drink in case baby is sleeping and in a difficult position to see.
What is the earliest time I can come in to get a gender check?
You can come in to Love at First Sight to have the gender of your baby checked as early as 14 weeks.
When is the best time to get a 3D ultrasound?
In our experience, the ideal time to get the best images on 3D/4D/HD ultrasound is between 27 and 34 weeks. We will allow customers to come further into the pregnancy, however, please note that the closer you get to your due date the harder it may be to get clear images due to the baby's size and position.
How can I get the best images of my baby at my appointment?
Make sure to drink plenty of fluids leading up to your appointment!
This will help make sure that there is enough fluid around the baby. It also allows the amniotic fluid to be clear for optimal viewing.
Do not to eat 2 hours prior to any 3D/4D/HD appointment.
After eating, the baby moves around for approximately 20-30 minutes and then falls asleep. Once asleep, they are much more difficult to move if they are not in a good position. Please bring a snack and a drink to your appointment so we can help wake baby if necessary.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes! However, same-day appointments are usually available. Simply call and request an appointment. We will do everything possible to accommodate you. You may also conveniently book your own appointment on-line by clicking Book Now.
